Curiosity, a thirst for adventure and a longing for the unknown have taken Dastan and Christian to the other side of the world. This is already their fourth performance as part of the tapir Worldwide program - but this time they are not heading for the heights, but deep into one of the last barely explored regions on our planet - West Papua.

Papua - that is pure wilderness. Endless rainforest, criss-crossed by mysterious rivers, on whose banks legends and myths are said to be hidden. Here, where ancient songs penetrate the mist and the sound of the rainforest, live peoples whose traditions are still accompanied by archaic myths - by rituals that are deeply interwoven with the lives and beliefs of the ancient tribal peoples.

For three weeks, Dastan and Christian traveled through this green labyrinth - into the heart of a region that exists between past and present, between reality and aspiration. An adventure that not only leads to the center of this unknown island - but into the heart of the mystery of a culture that faces the changing times in its very own way.
