Performance am Rheinufer „Ankunft und Aufbruch – Die Argonause“

Heroes wanted. Are you ready to set sail? The Argonause has been underway for a year: a metaphorical ship by the artist group Chez Company led by Gesine Danckwart and Fabian Kühlein. On May 30, the group invites you to a collective happening. The audience, a project choir and guests will come together on the banks of the Rhine, precisely at Rhine kilometer 746. Together they read, sing and share an artistic logbook of the journey. An evening partly on land and partly on the water, between research, ritual, departure and the question: How do we continue the journey?

The Argonause - Arrival and Departure brings together the content of a project that lasted almost a year: together with guests from science, activism and art, central questions of ecological transformation were negotiated in twelve research chapters, from living on the Rhine to the German car lifestyle to the conditions of artistic production. Podcasts, workshops, talks and interventions formed the stations of this journey. The audience is invited to discuss the questions of the performance journey with Baro Gabbert from Greenpeace, spokesperson for ecological-social justice, and the author Bernd Ulrich from DIE ZEIT: What can the individual change? A conversation about the new human being, hope and social responsibility.
