Phil Young is a singer-songwriter, producer and sound tinkerer - an artist who shapes his music himself from the first idea to the last note. In his songs, he talks about the quiet moments in life, love and all the little nuances that often say more than big words.
What makes his music special is the loving look back - without being nostalgic. Phil lets the spirit of the 70s shine through, interweaving warm piano sounds, classical strings and handmade sounds with modern production. He relies on analog technology, which gives his music depth, character and a special authenticity.
He played the piano as a child and later picked up the guitar - self-taught, with the energy and independence of the early punk rock years that still resonates subliminally in his sound today. His voice is warm, powerful, direct - it hits the heart, without detours.
