With her program "The Man Who Planted Trees", storyteller Antonella Simonetti performs an entire work as a stage play for the first time. Based on the literary work by Jean Giono, she tells the fascinating story of a man who creates a blossoming paradise from a barren desert landscape. With tireless dedication and a deep desire to do good, he transforms a barren area into a living space and gives the people there joy and contentment.

Antonella performs this program in German. Italian passages are interwoven and do not require an understanding of the Italian language.

This unique short story, written in 1953, sheds light on a highly topical subject. The performance lasts approximately 60 minutes, during which the plot is interwoven with musical interludes.
