The WEIN+STADT-TOUR on the trail of our French roots!

More than 200 years ago, the Rhineland actually belonged to France (1794 to 1815). Although it was only 20 years, the French and even Napoleon himself brought the region out of its medieval slumber and changed it forever. You will be amazed at all the things that still remind us of that time and how French we have become. Even our Kölsche Sproch has become quite French, as has our tour motto PLÄSIERCHEN, which also comes from the French and means JOY.

On our enjoyable city tour, we will visit 4 historical places in the city center within walking distance. Here you will learn exciting stories, amazing backgrounds and entertaining anecdotes about our city.

Why do we no longer drink "Kölnisch Wasser" or "Eau de Cologne"?

Of course, this will be anything but dry, but we will also enjoy greatFrench and German wines together at each stop along the way. We'll also have a snack to get us off to a sparkling start and finish off the French evening with dinner together. A 10€ credit is included in the tour price and a nice table is reserved for us, unless you only book a "pure ticket" without the finale.

PREREQUISITES:

• Participants must be at least 18 years old.
• Participants must be able to walk the distance between the individual stops (approx. 2 km).

As most of the tour takes place outside, the weather must be reasonably dry and at least 6 participants must be registered for the tour to take place. Cancellations and changes can be made at least 2 days in advance.

Of course, you can also change the date for your ticket regardless of the weather up to two days before, provided there are still enough places available.

What does Napoleon have to do with Cologne?

As a Frenchwoman, I knew that Napoleon had been in Cologne, but I didn't know exactly where! Daniel was able to show us this enthusiastically at many places in the city center. With great, interested people and excellent wines, we went in search of clues. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful tour through Cologne and even after 8 years in Cologne I still got to know new corners and even learned something about Cologne's French history while drinking delicious wine. A complete success!

With the wine glass through the city center of Cologne! It was great fun, all the selected wines were delicious and the stories from the French period in Cologne were new and entertaining for me. It was just a lot of fun and great to have spent such an entertaining evening with people who were previously strangers. Highly recommended to try again!
