How do power and powerlessness affect our everyday lives? What do we do when we experience or see injustice? How can we use our bodies and movement to change our patterns of action?
By combining contemporary dance, Krump and Augusto Boal's methods, we pursue a physical translation of individual (discriminatory) experiences, acting them out through dance, viewing them from different perspectives and transforming them through different intentions.
In changing roles - as those affected as well as those discriminated against - the participants deal with their own scope for power and action. In this way, we create new physical ways of reacting to exclusion, devaluation and unequal treatment and create an impressive language of movement together.
Everyone aged 14 and over who is interested in dance and the topics addressed is invited. No previous experience is necessary - just a desire for movement, exchange and a playful change of perspective. For people under the age of 18, a completed declaration of consent from a legal guardian is a prerequisite for participation.
The laboratories are led by Nona Siepmann (choreographer), Raphaëlle Sablic (contemporary dance), Joan Bello Montero aka Keops (Krump) and Maëlle Omnes aka Killa One Shot (contemporary + Krump).
