As the son of a Corsican mother and a Polish father, French rapper PLK grew up in the Cité de l'Heure social housing estate in the 14th arrondissement of Paris - and began using freestyles and rap flows as a creative outlet as a child. At the age of just twelve, the artist, whose name is an abbreviation of "Polak" and thus pays homage to his Polish roots, released his first own musical creations. Just two years later, he made his first appearance and performed his songs at the Bataclan in Paris at the age of 17 as part of the rap collective Panama Bende. He then officially launched his solo career in 2017, and success was not long in coming - PLK has been an integral part of the French rap bubble ever since the release of his self-titled debut album "Polak".

From the very beginning, the rapper has moved musically between classic hip-hop, urban elements and trap beats, processing personal themes such as growing up, finding one's identity and street stories in his art. In addition to lyrical, edgier rap tracks, PLK has repeatedly shown a more melodic side on his three albums and various mixtapes to date. He quickly blossomed into one of the brightest stars in the French rap sky and collaborated with the local A-league, including artists such as JUL, Hamza and Niska. Right from the start, PLK felt at least as comfortable on the live stage as in the studio and quickly attracted a great deal of attention beyond France's borders. With the release of his latest three-part mixtape project "Chambre 140", PLK not only achieved gold status, but also became the most listened to French artist on streaming platforms. It is still unclear what the next year has in store for the musical prodigy, but one thing is certain: PLK will be touring Europe again in spring 2026 - the perfect opportunity to experience the Frenchman's generation-defining sound live. In Berlin and Stuttgart, there will also be the chance to do so here in Germany.
