Polyloid Filmfest 2025

Polyloid im Viertel - cinema where neighborhood lives!

Polyloid is back - outdoors, free of charge and in the heart of East Leipzig. For three evenings, Neustädter Markt in front of Pöge-Haus will be transformed into a place to watch and stay together. There will also be a detour to Baalsdorf, where we will show a film in a rural setting between a farm building and a garden.
The selection of films has one thing in common: they tell of encounters. Of quiet moments in which strangers become familiar. Of people who come together to preserve something. Of neighborhoods that provide support and of closeness that sometimes becomes uncomfortable.

Polyloid invites you to share these stories in the open air, to enter into conversation and to experience the squares of our city - and beyond - as spaces of community. We look forward to seeing you there.

September 11 - 8 pm - Neustädter Markt near the Pöge-Haus
ALASKA

A tender bond is formed between lakes and tents: two strangers meet and a new closeness grows out of the silence. "Alaska" shows that neighborliness sometimes begins where we least expect it.

FANNY - OR: HOW DO YOU SAVE A TAVERN?

A village fights for its centerpiece: the abandoned inn. Together they create a place where people can laugh, argue and dance again - a film about the big "we" in a small neighborhood.
