Right-wing extremism, accusations of discrimination, brutal recruitment rituals - the Bundeswehr has long been outdated. Or so we thought. Thanks to Putin's delusions of power, German camouflage is experiencing a new hype. Whether on TikTok, advertising posters or in schools, they are being diligently recruited everywhere - with success. Fittingly: Billions in rearmament funds, new weapons, new outfits. Make the Bundeswehr great again!

The boy:s want a slice of the mud pie too! Like the German potatoes that are standardized by the French fries cutter, we shed our individuality and put on our camouflage suit. We train until we drop, allow ourselves to be humiliated and eat pork liver, only to end up as corporals, as fries.
We are fit for war - we are addicted to war! We are the troops that protect you - yes, many times sexist, racist, queer-hostile and anti-pluralist, yes, traumatized and more than ever, with the vague question in our heads: can't it be done differently?
