Portugal. The Man reached new heights in 2017 with the release of their now platinum album "Woodstock". The album was marked by the overwhelming success of their infectious single 'Feel It Still', which earned the group a Grammy for 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance', seven RIAA Platinum awards, a record-breaking 20 weeks at #1 on alternative radio and an inescapable presence in the Top 40. The single has been streamed an impressive 1.5 billion times on Spotify.

In addition to their countless musical successes, the band is known for their long-standing commitment to social justice. This is exactly where Portugal shines. The Man. Throughout their career, the band has exemplified how art and activism can be combined. In 2020, they founded the Pass The Mic Foundation, which focuses on universal issues such as human rights, health and environmental protection. The focus is on issues that directly affect indigenous peoples. The band is also committed to raising awareness for the DHDDS community, those affected by a rare genetic mutation. Here they raise important funds for research through the "Frances Changed My Life" campaign. The campaign was launched in honor of Gourley's daughter Frances and aims to support families affected by DHDDS. In recent years, the band has raised and donated over a million dollars to both charities.

Portugal. The Man also partner with numerous other organizations such as the National Coalition Against Censorship, The Skatepark Project (helping communities build public skateparks for youth in underserved communities), March for Our Lives (waffer reform), Keep Oregon Well (mental health) and Protect Our Winters (climate change), to name a few. In 2022, the band continued their passion for activism when they launched the NIGHT OUT initiative, which supports fans with disabilities.

Alongside their social commitment, Portugal. The Man do not forget their music. The single 'Denali', released in early September, is the first herald of the upcoming album, the first since 2023, including a world tour.
