"Do you yearn to drop into deep play and wonder - free from ideas of what is expected of you, and how you should or shouldn't behave? To be guided by the embodied intelligence within - wild, passionate, attuned, and fully present to the subtlety of the moment?"
- Buster Radvik

About Primal Play

Primal Play creates a safe, protected space in which you can meet yourself and others in a mindful, physically present way.
It is an invitation to turn towards what is truly alive in you at this moment - to follow the wisdom of your body and to feel the trust that arises when you engage with it.

Together we will go on a journey of discovery:
Who are we when we anchor deeper into our bodies?
What happens when we meet others beyond words - through breath, movement and voice?
How can we feel more clearly what we really want and where our limits lie - and bring all of this into relationship?

At the beginning of the evening, we arrive together - in the group and in our bodies.
We explore desires, boundaries and consent (based on Dr. Betty Martin's Wheel of Consent).
Then we open the playing field, let go of control and see what shows up in the moment - like a non-verbal, somatic dialog that unfolds by itself.

FAQs

Who developed Primal Play?
Marina Kronkvist (Finland) developed the original Ritual Play format.
Buster Radvik (Path of Relating) and Rachel Rickards (The Field) turned it into Primal Play.

How does it work?
Imagine this: A mat as a playing field, clear agreements, two people who meet without words - for seven minutes.
How will they meet? What do their bodies do? Do they feel connection - or rather distance? And how do their boundaries reveal themselves?

Anything can happen from here.
Your encounter can be soft and sensual, wild and intense, playful, quiet, idiosyncratic or funny.
Sometimes with a lot of closeness, sometimes without any contact - everything is possible and welcome.

The clear agreements create a space without a goal or expectation - a space in which you are allowed to express what is there at the moment.
Even if that means simply sitting on your mat and doing "nothing".
You decide for yourself in each moment whether and how you want to participate.

It is an unintentional, fully clothed space. You can pause at any time or simply watch.

What should I wear?
Wear clothes in which you feel comfortable and can move freely.
Several layers help you to adapt to different intensities. Please refrain from wearing perfume or strong fragrances.

Do I have to take part in everything?
No. You are invited to feel what is right for you in every moment.
There is no obligation - you can pause at any time or simply observe.

In which language does it take place?
In German and/or English, depending on the group.

If you have any questions, please get in touch.
We look forward to an evening full of curiosity, presence and play - together with you!

About the Practice
Primal Play offers a safe and supportive container where you can meet yourself and others in a grounded, embodied way. It's an invitation to explore what feels true for you in each moment - to follow the intelligence of your animal body and to discover the sense of safety and trust that arises when you listen deeply.

Together, we'll journey into new aspects of ourselves:
Who are we when we inhabit our bodies more fully?
What happens when we meet others beyond words - through breath, movement, and sound?
How can we connect more authentically with our desires and boundaries, and bring these into contact with others?

We'll begin by arriving together - grounding as a group and in our own bodies. We'll explore desire, boundaries, and consent (drawing inspiration from Dr. Betty Martin's Wheel of Consent). Then we'll step onto the playing field, let go, and see what emerges - allowing the somatic dialogue to unfold moment by moment.

FAQs

Who created it?
Marina Kronkvist (Finland) developed the original format called Ritual Play.
Buster Radvik (Path of Relating) and Rachel Rickards (The Field) further evolved it into what is now known as Primal Play.

How does it work?
Imagine this: a mat as your playground, clear agreements, and two people meeting without words - for seven minutes.
How will they meet? What will their bodies do? Will they feel connected - or not? And how will they embody their boundaries?

From there, anything can unfold. Encounters might be soft and sensual, wild and intense, playful, sacred, or beautifully strange - sometimes in close contact, sometimes with no touch at all. Everything is possible and welcome.

The clear agreements create a space free from goals or expectations - a space where you can express whatever is alive in you in each moment. Even if that means simply sitting on your mat, doing "nothing."
You choose, moment by moment, how and whether to participate.

This is a non-goal-oriented, fully clothed space, and you're always welcome to pause or simply witness others as they play.

What to wear?
Wear something comfortable that allows ease of movement. Layered clothing can help you adjust to different intensities. Please avoid wearing strong scents.

Do I need to participate in everything?
No. You are invited to tune in and choose what feels true for you at any given moment. You are always free to pause or to simply witness.

In what language will this be held?
In German and/or English, depending on the group.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
We're looking forward to playing with you!
