About sixty years ago, in 1966, things started to get colorful in some metropolises of the western world. Patterns were popping up everywhere, crazy boutiques and loud nightclubs were taking over the streets and for the first time the youth had created their own world - the first powerful subculture was born. From then on, "psychedelic" was everything, hip and new, characterized by LSD and weed, rock and blues. Erlangen-based band The Citadel are proud representatives of this era and are keeping psychedelic rock alive with united strength. They have been shaping the local cultural scene for over three years and can look back on two studio albums and an appearance at the Bardentreffen. Now they are bringing heavy psych rockers Black Ocean's Edge from Ulm and Nuremberg DJ Mr Superfunk to the stage of the E-Werk Saal to give the summer a psychedelic evening. You can expect electric organ, flute, guitar solos, poetry, whiskey and groove.
