Push, Pull, Play – Dynamisches Partnering

In the organizer's words:

This workshop focuses on playful cooperation. Based on simple partnering principles, we explore movement through pulling, pushing, catching, dodging and reacting.

In the warm-up, we get to know each other and find a feeling for stability as well as releasing and absorbing weight. Then it becomes more dynamic: we experiment with how movement arises in interaction - next to each other, around each other, with each other and in conscious resistance. This is less about technique and more about attention, responsiveness and the joy of moving together.

At the end, we work on a short choreographic sequence in which the experiences we have gathered come together.

Open to everyone - movement experience (e.g. dance, yoga, gymnastics) is an advantage.

The workshop is conducted by students of the DSHS Master's degree program in Dance as part of the module "Professional Field Orientation" and is offered in cooperation with TanzFaktur.

About Theresia & Ronja:

Theresia Kammann studied dance at the "Dans`Art Academy" in Bielefeld, as well as at the "Tanzimpulse" institute in Cologne, where she also worked as an assistant. During her studies, she took part in the OWL-Tour with choreographies by Gilda Rebello and Tchekpo Dan Agbetou. Turning to dance theater as a dancer, she gained experience in several productions of the ensemble x-legged Rose and danced in project works by Suna Göncu. She has also appeared on stage as a solo performer in collaboration with musicians.

As a dance teacher and choreographer, she has been involved in many performances, e.g. at the Seidenweberhaus Krefeld. She is particularly active in teaching dance at various institutions, from regular classes to project work and dance theater with young people.

Ronja Frizen: Trained contemporary dancer. Stage dancer, graduated from the Contemporary Dance School Hamburg, currently in the further education master's program Dance - Research, Mediation, Artistic Practice at DSHS Cologne. Since 2017 freelance performer, mediator, dancer and choreographer, e.g. in cooperation with the mobilés shadow theater, Helder Seabra (Antwerp/Turnhout), the band MEUTE, the Little Red Chair Ensemble Cologne, the musical association M.A.S.C., ReVeTanz, choreographer for "ECHO" Community Tanzprojekt Düren tanzt 2025, as well as with various cultural cities and schools in Cologne, Siegburg, Hennef and Radevormwald.

Since 2021 assistant at the Institute for Dance and Movement Culture at the DSHS in various research projects, substitutions in teaching and tutor in movement theater.

Ronja and Theresia have been active together in various creative dance projects since 2018: through artistic-choreographic projects with children and young people (Kulturrucksack), through an interactive dance theater performance for children and young people as well as various interdisciplinary artistic projects under the name "ReVeTanz".
