Queer Festival Eröffnungsempfang und Vernissage

In the organizer's words:

The Queer Festival 2026 will take place from 8 to 30 May 2026 and the first program highlights have already been published.

Even before the festival month, we will be hosting historian, author and publicist Leonie Schöler with her program "Beklaute Frauen - Die Show" at Karlstorbahnhof on 13 March.

For the opening weekend, we are bringing Timur to Heidelberg on May 10 with his first comedy show. On May 12, Ozan Zakariya Keskinkılıç will read from his novel "Hundesohn". Queer rapper Baran Kok will take to the stage on May 15, 2026, followed by hyperpop producer Mariybu on May 21, 2026.

To mark the opening of the festival, there will once again be a large reception together with the city of Heidelberg on May 8, 2026. Sophie Koch, Federal Government Commissioner for the Acceptance of Sexual and Gender Diversity, will give a welcoming address. The rest of the program is still a secret, but this much can be revealed: The evening will be hosted by none other than the icon Lilo Wanders.
