The Linke Bonn + SDS Bonn, together with the Feminist Anti-War Resistance in NRW, invites you to a screening of the short film series "A Day in the Life" (2014, 50 minutes, OmeU) about LGBTQ+ people from the collection of the international LGBTQ film festival "Side by Side".

The series consists of three films:

"Who Are They?" tells the stories of Sasha and Masha, a couple in love, Sasha and Shura, a transgender couple, and Natalia, a poet who writes about unrequited love.

"Festive Interview" examines the reactions of queers to political events in the country.

"Leave the Room" shows the lives of Demir and Kirill, who lived through their coming out and the news of their positive HIV status together.

After the screening, we will talk to the invited guests, queer people from Russia, and discuss topics that concern us all:

- Changes in Russian politics since the release of the films (both foreign and domestic: war in Ukraine, intensification of repression against the LGBTIQ community)
- Intersections of vulnerabilities in the context of the global shift to the right, changes in European and German policies towards migrants and queers
- Opportunities for solidarity in theory and practice, building bridges of connection and collaboration between our communities and contexts

During the screening there will be an opportunity to leave a donation for the film festival "Side by Side" and the human rights initiative European Queer Alliance of PostOst Community (EQUAL PostOst).
