In this concert, the newly formed RADIOHEAD ensemble from HMT Leipzig will focus on the sound language, rhythms and melodies of the British indie rock band. From the extensive repertoire of all nine studio albums, the musicians involved select personal favorite songs and develop independent interpretations that illuminate the works in a new and creative way.

Thom York's unmistakable vocal lines are taken up by wind and string instruments, continued and transformed in a multi-layered way - sometimes carried, sometimes deconstructed, sometimes sonically expanded. The arrangements are complemented by electronic sounds, which have shaped Radiohead's characteristic sound, especially since the albums "OK Computer" and "Kid A". Electronic textures are combined with acoustic presence and moments of improvisational freedom.

In this way, dense, atmospherically nuanced sound spaces are created that unfold between fragility and intensity, between intimacy and expressive intensification.
