Ralets - Folk Ensemble

In the organizer's words:

Together with the young Ukrainian folk ensemble Ralets, we will get in the mood for Christmas on Fri. 28.11.2025 from 7 pm at kaffeehaus Treibgut.
Christmas traditionally began in many places in Ukraine with evening youth gatherings. These evenings not only had a sociable but also a social function. People made music, danced and played together - they felt cheerful, carefree and alive.
Today, the "Kalytinski Vechornytsi" festival is a somewhat faded tradition. However, like many other traditional practices, it is regaining importance among young Ukrainians during the time of the war of aggression against the young democracy.
Why is that?
The Ralets invite us on 28.11.2025 at 7 pm to celebrate Kalytinski Vechornytsi and enter into a dialog with you. The folk ensemble of young Ukrainian women will create an evening of music, personal stories and exchange for us.
