Piotr Kurek with Mateusz Rychlicki and Wojciech Traczyk

Piotr Kurek presents his new album Songs and Bodies, which was released in September on the Unsound Festival label. It consists of multi-layered guitar sketches, complex rhythms and elusive voices that unfold as a series of lively, ever-changing songs. Percussionist Mateusz Rychlicki and bassist Wojciech Traczyk accompany Kurek on stage, where they bring this haunting, restless soundscape to life.

Warsaw-based composer and musician Piotr Kurek combines experimental electronics, minimalism and fragmented song forms. He has worked with artists such as Jim O'Rourke and Eiko Ishibashi as well as Patrick Shiroishi and composes for dance, theater, radio and film.

Martina Bertoni & Stefan Schneider Monti

Martina Bertoni and Stefan Schneider Mont i share a fascination for a vocabulary of focused yet experimental electronics. In their collaboration, they largely eschew traditional composition in favor of an equal and direct exchange of presence and contribution. The end result of their music is not limited to the quality of the instruments they choose. Rather, it is a curious proposal for spaces of encounter, unlimited negotiation and uncontrolled asymmetries.

The composer and experimental cellist Martina Bertoni focuses on embodied sound practices and post-instrumental identities.

Stefan Schneider Monti is best known as a collaborator who has worked with Hans Joachim Roedelius, Sofia Jernberg, Garth Erasmus and the artist Katharina Grosse.
