Rewor(l)ding Genders | Charlie Fouchier

PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:

In this choreographic lecture performance, Niko Jacobi brings memories, experiences, desires and needs into dialog with cultural, conceptual and performative possibilities of (re-)presenting personal identity. What body sensations shape the self-image? What echoes do they find in cultural archetypes? Which pronouns and stories accompany these images? How do I experience them in the context of social expectations? Niko invites the audience to explore these questions sensually and intellectually through the interplay of language and movement and to reflect on their own relationship to identity and gender stereotypes.

Rewo(l)ding Genders will be shown as part of the LOOK guest performance series for dance art and diversity.
