Like many artists of his generation, Rich Brian began building a following on social media early on. Initially, it was comedy sketches with some black humor that brought him a growing fan base on Twitter. From 2015, he dedicated himself to his voice and initially released his debut single "Dat $tick" under the name Rich Chigga , which immediately became a viral hit on YouTube. Features on tracks by Diplo, 88rising, bbno$ and collaborations with 21 Savage, XXXTENTACION and Yung Gravy consolidated Rich Brian's status, as did his albums "Amen" (2018) and "The Sailor" (2019), quickly dispelling his initial status as a presumed one-hit wonder. A full six years after the release of his second album, the Indonesian rapper returned in August 2025 with his third album "Where Is My Head?", revealing his artistic and personal development. In 2026, it will take him on a major tour with new insights and new music.

In the now 10-year career of the rapper from Jakarta, several career highlights can be found. From the songs "Gospel" (feat. Keith Ape and XXXTENTACION), "Glow Like Dat" and "Crisis" (feat. 21 Savage) released in 2017 to his biggest hit "edamame" (2021) - which was created together with bbno$ and with whom he featured on Yung Gravy's song "C'est Last Vie" (2022) - Rich Brian has continued to develop. Not least through his two albums "Amen" and "The Sailor", songs such as "Introvert" (feat. Joji), "Drive Safe", "100 Degrees" and his EPs "1999" (2020) and "Brightside" (2022). Over time and while working on his third album, Rich Brian has become noticeably more mature and grown up, as the 26-year-old self-reflectively noted. He has long since abandoned his juvenile plan to become Asia's biggest star due to necessary compromises and artistic integrity. On his new album "Where Is My Head?" , the rapper discovers himself completely and strives to be the best artist he can be and to further develop his own skills in order to continuously improve. "The process of making this album has really reinforced my choices as a songwriter. Because I produced this album myself, I was able to shape each song much more consciously," says Brian. The result is a 15-track album that presents Rich Brian at his most authentic and honest yet. The accompanying WHERE IS MY HEAD? TOUR will take Rich Brian to Cologne and Berlin in March.
