The tradition continues: we are once again celebrating our legendary Festa de São Jorge - a symbol of strength, protection and resistance. In Brazil, São Jorge is a central figure for many sambistas and is equated with the Orixá Ogum - the warrior who opens paths and protects against life's challenges. Just like samba, he stands for resistance, cohesion and the cultural heritage of the Afro-Brazilian population.

A night to celebrate, sing and feel this energy together.

And we have a very special guest: we are delighted to welcome Pablo Miguel as our special guest!

For Cariocas - the inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro - a roda de samba is much more than just a concert.

It is an attitude to life, an encounter, a reminder of home.
Encontro, saudade, alegria.
Musicians of all generations, sambistas, friends and lovers of Brazilian music come together in a relaxed atmosphere. They sing together, have a drink, laugh - and the samba plays deep into the night.

The Roda de Samba do Alemão around Chris Quade Couto, Maxim Zettel, Nego Dó, Tam Silva and Jonivon Freitas regularly bring this feeling to the YUCA in Cologne.

Culinary delights also return to Brazil: salgadinhos, Brazilian snacks and feijoada from Luzes do Brasil provide real "sabor do Brasil" in the middle of Cologne.

And when the live music slowly fades out, it's far from over: DJ PR takes over and keeps the party going until the early hours of the morning - samba, pagode, baile funk & brasil vibes até amanhecer.

What used to be an insider tip has long since become a permanent institution - loved by Cologne samba fans as well as the Brazilian community in NRW and beyond.
