The name sace6 stands for the starkest of contrasts: Catchy pop hooks and emotional R&B vocals meet hard-hitting metal riffs, gentle intimacy meets brute eruptions, vulnerability set to music meets volume controls turned up to the max. No wonder the US combo also relies on monochromatic black and white contrasts visually. Celebrated for singles such as "devotion" and "ego", the enigmatic alt-metal duo from the US East Coast will be headlining Germany for the first time shortly before the end of the year. Having been a duo for almost two years, not much is known about sace6 , who are accordingly regarded as an enigmatic phenomenon in the current alt-metal landscape: Born in Long Island, US singer sace released his first solo tracks a few years ago at the intersection of metal, shoegaze and R&B, with his voice clearly taking center stage. At the end of 2024, he teamed up with producer Noah Thomas from New Jersey - and occasionally brought in Tyler Saxz as a guest on drums. By combining influences from alt-R&B and neo-soul with really hard guitar riffs and heavy metal eruptions, they created a haunting, elusive sound - which sace6 probably refer to as "pop music" in their Insta bio with a wink. On their debut EP "Limerence", there were still a lot of question marks hanging over the enigmatic project, whose influences include everything from Paramore to Deftones to Chris Brown, from Asking Alexandria to Sleeping With Sirens oreven Glass Cloud. Highlights of the EP included tracks such as "easy exit" (with Rain City Drive) and "Velvet" (with jxdn), which have been streamed millions of times. Signed to metalcore label Sumerian Records (including Asking Alexandria and Poppy) at the beginning of the year, they kicked off 2026 with the new single "ego" - and once again relied on XL contrasts between soulful vocals and heavy riffs. "Our latest single 'ego' revolves around a person who is far too self-confident - even when they have long since won you over. This makes them seem arrogant and immediately raises doubts again."

sace6 are currently on tour almost non-stop: at the beginning of the year, they opened for Don Broco, immediately followed by dates with nothing,nowhere. Then it's on with Dayseeker, for whom they are supporting Northlane and Windwalkers. Shortly before the end of the year, they will be coming to Germany as headliners for the first time to bring their very own extreme definition of "pop music" to the stage in Cologne, Berlin and Munich.
