Samba arrived in France from Senegal ten years ago. Since then, he has kept his head above water in Paris with temporary jobs and tries not to attract attention. Together with his Brazilian friend Wilson, he slips into a wide variety of disguises and changes jobs frequently. One day, when Samba is caught up in an identity check, his goal suddenly seems a long way off, as the authorities revoke his residence permit for no apparent reason. Samba hopes for help from a social service that advises on such cases. Alice, who has just started as a volunteer and immediately disregards the most important advice of her experienced colleague Manu - to keep her distance. Alice, who wants to change her life after a burn-out, is attracted to Samba's melancholy nature.

Samba, Sénégalais en France depuis 10 ans, collectne les petits boulots ; Alice est une cadre supérieure épuisée par un burn out. She tries everything to get her papers, while she tries to reconstruct herself through volunteering with an association to help migrants. Everyone is trying to get out of their own way until their destinies come to an end... Between humor and emotion, their story takes a different path to happiness. Et si la vie avait plus d'imagination qu'eux ?
