The SAMURAI PIZZA CATS are no longer an insider tip. On October 9th, the band from Castrop-Rauxel, who play metalcore and deathcore with electronic influences, will be performing at Im Wizemann in Stuttgart.

Founded in 2021 by Daniel Haniß (Electric Callboy), Sebastian Fischer and Stefan Buchwald (both ex-Fall Of Gaia), the band quickly gained a loyal fan base thanks to their unique sound and energetic live performances. Since 2021, Stefan Reufer has been the bassist of the band from the Ruhr area and a permanent member of SAMURAI PIZZA CATS. At the end of 2025, Robin Kemper joined the band as a new drummer and brought additional momentum to the combination from Castrop-Rauxel. Their songs are characterized by a mixture of biting humor and profound themes, which gives their name, which alludes to a cult anime series, an additional humorous touch.

SAMURAI PIZZA CATS released their first album "You're Hellcome" in 2023, which went straight into the top 100 of the German album charts. At the beginning of 2025, the band then released two new songs, "Superzero" and "Pandastruck", and went on a tour of the same name in March. In August 25, SAMURAI PIZZA CATS went one better. With the song "Fear No Slice", the band presented themselves in top form and once again showed listeners the unmistakable SAMURAI PIZZA CATS style that makes the band so unique. Their new album "Press Start" will be released on March 27th and, with the previous single releases, sets an example for the stages beyond the country's borders with a good pinch of pizza and chaos.
