Sax Royal - Die Dresdner Lesebühne - Mai 2026

On May 6, there will be a new edition of the Sax Royal reading stage at the Groove Station. As every month, the creative collective, consisting of Michael Bittner, Roman Israel, Max Rademann and Gesine Schäfer, has come up with a brand new program. Hilarious stories from absurd everyday life, general reckonings with the overall political situation, tender verses about the blossoming spring in nature and in the hearts - all this and more can be included. The audience can look forward to an evening full of surprises and premieres. Only one thing is certain as always: it won't be boring.

There will also be music in May, as the reading stage has invited singer-songwriter Paula Linke as a guest for the first time. Paula was born in Leipzig in 1989. After studying in Erlangen, she worked at the theater as an assistant director, dramaturge and theater teacher in Ansbach and Münster. After returning to Leipzig, she devoted herself entirely to music. She gave numerous performances in German-speaking countries, organized several series of events and released the album "Schön durcheinander" in 2023. In 2020, she won the 1st audience prize and 2nd jury prize at the "Hoyschrecke" singer-songwriter competition.
