Does a composer know that a work will be his last? And can you hear a sense of world-weariness, farewell or serenity in the music? The renowned Schumann Quartet explores these questions with the last string quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven and focus composer Hans Werner Henze as part of the Hamburg International Music Festival, which has the motto "The End" in 2025.
