Shadow of Intent is an American metal band from New England that was founded in 2014 by Ben Duerr and Chris Wiseman. Since then, the band has released four albums on their own: "Primordial" (2016), "Reclaimer" (2017), "Melancholy" (2019) and "Elegy" (2022). The latter reached number 4 in the Billboard charts for new albums, number 6 in the hard music albums and number 16 in the rock and digital albums charts. 2025 saw the release of "Imperium Delirium", the band's most versatile and ambitious work to date.

The band's music and lyrics address the many evils of the world, whether mythical or real, and the possible consequences for the future. Different metal genres such as death metal, black metal, symphonic metal, progressive metal and metalcore blend masterfully to create the unique sound of Shadow of Intent. Since their first live performance at the end of 2017, Shadow of Intent have toured regularly with bands such as Lorna Shore, Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, Cattle Decapitation and others. The band now consists of Ben Duerr (vocals), Chris Wiseman (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Bryce Butler (drums) and Andrew Monias (bass).
