Brooklyn-based saxophonist and composer Tobias Meinhart is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary jazz. Honored as a Rising Star in the DownBeat Critics Poll, his music combines the energy of the New York scene with European sound aesthetics, narrative depth and a distinct sense of groove.

With his current project Light & Shadow, Meinhart presents a quartet of extraordinary musical presence. Pianist Eden Ladin, bassist Joe
Martin and drummer Mark Whitfield Jr. belong to the premier league of international jazz and have worked with artists such as Brad Mehldau, Kurt Rosenwinkel,
Kenny Garrett and Terence Blanchard. Together they create open, dynamic music that leaves room for lyrical moments as well as powerful improvisation.
