ShitKid

Since her breakthrough in 2016, Åsa Söderqvist's lo-fi rock project ShitKid has been one of Sweden's most intriguing acts, consistently subverting expectations and breaking conventions while garnering praise from media outlets such as The FADER, i-D, NPR, The Line of Best Fit and many more. After debuting in spring 2016 with debut single 'Oh Please Be A Cocky Cool Kid', ShitKid released a string of albums and EPs, including cult classic debut album 'Fish', breakthrough EP 'This Is It' and collaborative EP Limbo/'Mellan himmel å helvete' with the Melvins, winning fans including Iggy Pop, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and Fever Ray. Appearances at festivals such as Roskilde, SXSW, The Great Escape and Way Out West followed, as well as tour dates around the world and appearances as the opening act for bands such as the Melvins. In 2020, she abruptly ended the project and withdrew completely from the music scene. ShitKid is now back in 2026. After a quickly sold-out concert in Berlin in March, she is coming to Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg in June.
