Solidarität und Stärke

In the organizer's words:

This exhibition is dedicated to the pressing issues of violence against women and girls from refugee and migrant backgrounds and highlights the challenges they face. It is held in honor of Sr. Dr. Lea Ackermann, who passed away in 2023 and who, as the founder of SOLWODI, fought tirelessly for the rights and protection of these women.

Contributions from 32 visual artists illustrate the awareness of these issues in their works, including paintings, sculptures, installations and multimedia works. In addition, personal testimonies from contemporary witnesses are presented, providing insights into the social and political changes that these women experienced.

The aim of the exhibition is to promote solidarity, respect and equality - values that are of crucial importance in today's world.
