The TONEDMELISMA MusikFestival presents the concert "Sonnenlandschaften" in cooperation with the E-MEX Ensemble - an extraordinary program of contemporary music around the theme of light and the sun as a symbol of life, energy and inspiration.

At the center of the evening is the world premiere of Ataç Sezer's work "Spectral Horizons: Refractions for Cello and Ensemble", in which psychoacoustic effects and spectral sounds merge into a fascinating, spatially perceptible world of sound.

The internationally acclaimed cellist Benedict Kloeckner, known for his artistic versatility and his sensually luminous tone, meets the E-MEX Ensemble, one of Germany's leading ensembles for contemporary music. Together they span a musical arc between classical depth and contemporary experimentation.

The program includes works by

Christopher Cerrone, Max Grafe, David Lang, Takashi Yoshimatsu and Ataç Sezer, compositions that transform light, movement, space and perception into poetic soundscapes.

The venue for the event, the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Cologne, with its special atmosphere and visual art, offers the ideal resonance space for this synaesthetic concert experience between sound, space and emotion.
