The punk rock icon returns: Sonny Vincent founded the band TESTORS in New York City in 1975, he was the frontman of Shotgun Rationale and toured with Moe Tucker from the Velvet Underground for nine years. The old master of '77 punk has seen it all and stood on stage with God and the world. CBGB's and Max's Kansas City were his most important venues for years. On the streets of NYC, he avoided no one. "I would have rather died than give up the road," he writes in his biography. Sonny Vincent hasn't played in Cologne since 2015, and now the "Club of 40" is bringing him to the Blue Shell for a rare appearance. Sonny Vincent is bringing an all-star team with him: Frank Ferrer, long-time drummer of Guns N'Roses, will be letting off steam on the drums. Nils Finkeisen (Die Krupps) on guitar and "Billy the Kid" (Sidekick) on bass. By the way, the madness is being filmed: the concert is being filmed by Catalan director Danny Garcia ("The Rise and Fall of The Clash") for his planned documentary about Sonny Vincent.

THE EXTRAS, a transatlantic wrecking ball around Elmar Freels, the multi-instrumentalist Jon Manierre from New York and lead guitarist Killer Krissy, will open the show. The hurricane of noise, passion and melodies is "uncompromising widescreen", says frontman Freels, who is also known as the founder of the internationally renowned band DUMBELL. Incidentally, the debut album "Closer" features a very special guest: none other than Sonny Vincent.
