What happens when a dispute over a littered schoolyard raises major questions about coexistence in the district?

In Salzgitter-Fredenberg in Lower Saxony, this was precisely the starting point for an intensive consultation process as part of Pro Peace's local conflict counseling.

In our event, we report on how the dispute turned into a joint learning process: a round table brought together the school, administration, police and local council to work out solutions and improve coexistence in the district. We take a look at how such advisory services help to address conflicts openly, reduce misunderstandings and strengthen cohesion - and why this work is particularly important today, given demographic changes and growing tensions in many communities.
