When the Leipzig big band Spielvereinigung Sued meets the young band munterfel, the result is a musical clash of a special kind: contemporary big band sound merges with genre-fluid synthpop.

munterfel - gender-balanced with vocals, drums, synthesizer and double bass - moves between acoustic and artificial sounds and dedicates its compositions to the themes of pop culture and feminism. Their sound combines jazz, techno, drum'n'bass and house to create a timeless, danceable mix.

Spielvereinigung Sued, known as Contemporary Big Band, has always been looking for new musical paths. In this special collaboration, songs by munterfel are reinterpreted in specially developed big band arrangements and performed for the first time.
