Spite captivate with a hypnotic, heavy force that borders on the complexity of thrash and the intensity of deathcore. As a result, the quartet from Northern California has built up such a loyal fan base that they can only be described as a cult. The group's willingness to push boundaries has quietly made them one of the most intense forces in modern heavy music.

Following 2016's self-titled album "Spite", the musicians shook things up on the Richter scale a year later with "Nothing is Beautiful". The band rocked stages from coast to coast alongside acts such as Attila, Oceano, Carnifex, Whitechapel and Winds Of Plague. This was followed by the albums "The Root Of All Evil" (2019) and "Dedication To Flesh" (2022). With the emotive "New World Killer", the band is back and ready to dominate the extreme metal scene. Produced by Will Putney, the album features the band in their most dominant and accomplished form yet with the singles "Lights Out", "New World Killer", "Looking Glass" and "Shedding Skin".

For a generation of malcontents and misfits desperate for that extra bit of adrenaline just to get through another day, Frankie Palmeri's unmatched ability to give the world (and himself) the finger with fearlessness and passion has made Emmure an absolute must-listen.

Frankie doesn't mince his words on stage or off, and Emmure albums are as allergic to complicated metaphors as they are full of relentless, brutal and catchy beatdowns.With eight albums - including the genre classics "Speaker of the Dead" (2011) and "Eternal Enemies" (2014) - Emmure fought their way into the extreme metal scene like uninvited but indispensable guests.

Distant are a downtempo deathcore band from Rotterdam and Bratislava, delivering crushing brutality with a unique blend of dissonant deathcore, brutal death metal and beatdown. Since their formation in 2014, they have made a name for themselves with groundbreaking releases such as "Tyrannotophia" (2019), the "Aeons of Oblivion" trilogy (2021) and "Heritage" (2023), cementing their place as innovators of the genre. With their 10th anniversary release, "Tsukuyomi: The Origin" (2024), Distant continue to push boundaries and prove that their journey has only just begun.

Indianapolis-based band Mauled breaks the mold of modern deathcore with their new EP "When Your Eyes Are Shut" (WYEAS). "This is our interpretation of the beginnings of deathcore," explained singer Abe Kirkpatrick. "We don't like what the genre has become. The same old breakdowns, only playing power chords on the first fret... nobody in this band likes the current state of deathcore." On WYEAS are six new tracks of jaw-dropping breakdowns, agonizing, haunting screams and frenetic drumming reminiscent of the unique sound bands like Whitechapel and Suicide Silence are known for.
