Spotlight Sebastian Fritzsch | KFFK

Sebastian Fritzsch, born in 1977, lives and works in Cologne. He studied theater and cultural studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin as well as photography, artistic design and film directing at the HGB Leipzig and the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. His multifaceted work makes use of various media - including film, painting, drawing, collage and ceramics. His work has already been shown in numerous exhibitions in NRW, Berlin and beyond.

Sebastian Fritzsch's first institutional solo exhibition presents photographs, collages, paintings, ceramics and drawings. These deal with the theme of protection, among other things. As part of the exhibition, selected student film works from the years 2006-2009 will be presented together for the first time. What interactions exist between film and the visual arts? This evening is an invitation to this discussion.
