He is a great piano humorist, a gifted storyteller and a brilliant entertainer. The 1920s retro wave that continues to this day would not have existed without him. But he is much, much more. Robert Kreis reminds us that the 1920s, seen in the rear-view mirror, were by no means just "golden". He brings those forgotten artists back into the limelight whose voices were silenced forever by the Nazis only a short time later: once celebrated stars of Jewish-German entertainment such as Kurt Gerron, Paul O'Montis and Willy Rosen. And the audience realizes: nothing is more topical than the past and what we have not learned from it. Great cabaret with attitude - against the right, for humanity.
