It takes its time without being boring for even a second, it indulges and then drives again, the tracks build up and then ebb away again. The kind of post-rock I really like (MONO or BRUIT ≤ come to mind). Melodies that are sometimes reminiscent of classical music, devoted tremolo picking, piano and classical strings contribute to pure melodiousness. There are even brief moments of fervent vocals and choral singing. And for the finale, the familiar melody of 'Auld Lang Syne' is used. A final highlight of an album that is certainly not lacking in highlights. An album full of beautiful, heart-warming music!"
