Inspired by a bestselling Dutch children's book, director Dylan Haegens combines the thrill of adventure with important themes of mental strength in Superpowers with Brains in a way that is both emotional and captivating.

What are real superpowers and what does it take to become a real superhero? Young Lev, who has had difficulty walking since a fall, tries to find answers to these questions. He wants to meet his superhero idol Healix at Comic Con to ask him if he can use his superhero powers to heal his legs. But his parents forbid it - until his rebellious, adventurous grandmother turns up. She helps him build his costume and motivates him to discover his own inner strength. In the end, Lev realizes that true superpowers lie in the mind - not in magic or wings.
