When? Sunday, 23.11.25, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Where? BÜZE, Venloer Str. 429, 50825 Cologne
Tickets? 5 € (VVK via rausgegangen or box office)

While Black Week is calling for a shopping frenzy everywhere, we are taking a conscious stand against it: instead of buying, swap!

Winter is just around the corner - and with it the perfect opportunity to make your closet fit for cooler days!

Get out your discarded, well-preserved items of clothing - especially fall and winter pieces such as coats, sweaters, scarves etc. - and give them a new home at the Kleiderei SWAP IT! clothes swap and give them a new home.

Because every item of clothing that stays in circulation for longer saves valuable resources!

🌍 Why all this?

Fast fashion is destroying our environment and forcing people into unworthy working conditions - we've known that for a long time.
With our clothes swap, we are setting an example for more conscious consumption and showing that fashion can also be fun without exploitation and waste.

At the SWAP IT! clothes swap event, we are not just inviting people to swap clothes. We want to change, inspire and inform - with workshops, DIY activities, a repair station, food and information, you can update and pimp yourself up with fair fashion.

👕 THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:

1. Bring up to 10 clean items in good condition - clothes, shoes, accessories or jewelry.
   (No underwear, hosiery ordamaged/dirty clothing).

2. Hand in your items at check-in.

3. Then: browse - try on - find your favorite pieces!

♻️ Any clothes left over at the end will be donated to the Umsonstladen in the BÜZE for reuse in humanitarian aid.

Bring your favorite broken items - designers will show you how to repair or creatively transform them!

🧵 Upcycling

Pimp your swapped clothes with cool statements and patches! Or grab one of the limited-edition hooded scarves from the #SlowFashion label @Shipsheip and print or embroider it however you like.

🌱 Info wall & initiatives

Get to know exciting initiatives, start a conversation, exchange ideas and get tips for your sustainable closet.

🪄 Make Something

There are free upcycling activities in the workshop room with Greenpeace Cologne, Cradle to Cradle Cologne and Zero Waste Cologne - for example, make poinsettias from old book pages or creative DIY gifts. It's already worth getting creative in a sustainable way and preparing gifts - without the stress of consumerism!
