Tafiti - Off through the Desert is an endearing, family-friendly adventure with a clear message of openness and solidarity.

When the curious meerkat Tafiti meets the clumsy river pig Pinsel, his life changes radically: in an accident, Tafiti's grandfather is bitten by a poisonous snake. The only chance of a cure is a rare blue flower that grows deep in the desert. Tafiti bravely sets off on his own - but Brush, full of guilt about the accident, won't let him go and follows him wherever he goes. On their way, they encounter many desert animals - some friendly, some hostile. Step by step, a touching friendship develops between the two. What begins as a duty becomes a discovery: true friendship, courage and solidarity overcome prejudices - and lead them both to their goal.
