Gioachino Rossini's opera Tancredi is set in Syracuse, which is threatened by war. The king's daughter Amenaide is falsely accused of treason because her letter to her beloved Tancredi is mistaken for a declaration of love to the enemy. Tancredi, an exiled knight, returns unrecognized and saves her from execution. But he doubts her fidelity. Although Tancredi is less well-known today, it marks the beginning of Rossini's international career and captivates with its lyrical beauty.

Pupils and students receive tickets in advance with a 50% discount.
