The Kola Peninsula, also known as Kolsky, is located in the far northwest of Russia. Due to its access to the Barents Sea and its border with Finland and Norway, this remote region is of great geopolitical and military strategic importance. Tanya Sharapova'sproject was created before and during the escalation of the Russian war against Ukraine and explores the influence of increasing militarization and propaganda on daily life in Russia's far north, far from the capital.

Tanya Sharapova is a documentary photographer from Russia who currently lives in Berlin. After working as a photo editor, travel photographer and author, she studied photography at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie. Her graduation project Kolsky was awarded the VG Bild-Kunst/Kulturwerk Foundation scholarship. Tanya's work explores the relationship between the individual and society, recently focusing on the themes of isolation, displacement and collective memory.

ACCOMPLICES TO THE RULES OF THE GAME

Complicit in the rules of the game Concerts make for open mouths and the feeling of being addressed to the core. Singer, lyricist and frontman Tobias Ortmanns fascinates and irritates the audience in equal measure with his intense stage presence and performance. He sings, talks, moderates, shouts, thinks outside the box, sweats, rocks and lives through every single song. With Frank Nagel on bass and electronics and Volker Weide on guitar and beats, the Cologne-based trio has been producing independent music together for over 10 years now, which is able to pick you up on many levels. Electronic frictions, squeaky synths, pads, a preference for special sounds, lots of beats and unconventional songwriting characterize the band's musical output.
