The Niepoort family has been causing a stir in Portugal's Douro Valley since 1842 - founded by Dutch immigrants and now celebrated internationally. Dirk van der Niepoort, mastermind of the winery, is not only a red wine genius, but also known for exciting collabos with winemaking stars such as Telmo Rodriguez (Spain) and Riesling legend Ernie Loosen (Germany).

Together with the Cologne wine cellar, Niepoort is now bringing something very special to the city: the Cellar Selection. A collection that is only available here - exclusive, experimental and always with the potential to surprise.

At 2,500 square meters, the Cologne Wine Cellar is one of the largest historic wine vaults in Germany. Over 51 steps or by elevator, it is 13 meters deep to almost 4,000 wines from around 800 wineries worldwide. Awarded "Wine Merchant of the Year 2025", our sommeliers make the difference: they advise, tell stories and accompany you at tastings, stand-up tastings or winemaker evenings. This is where expertise meets enjoyment - wine becomes an experience.
