Eya, 12, and her 25-year-old brother Younès are inseparable. Their close bond and Younès' unwavering support allow Eya to have a carefree childhood. But everything changes abruptly when Younès suddenly dies. Eya's world comes apart at the seams - she has to face her grief in a world of adults. TÊTES BRÛLÉES tells of the strength and resilience of childhood in the face of loss. In her first feature film, director Maja-Ajmia Yde Zellama paints a sensitive and multi-faceted portrait of a multicultural and supportive community. The film celebrated its international premiere at the 75th Berlinale.
