the absence of (kunstroute ehrenfeld)

In the organizer's words:

There is a state in which nothing is where something should be - a void that gives no peace because it points to something that was taken away or never arrived. Not loss in the sentimental sense, but a structural absence: the imprint of a force that acts without showing itself and that silently shapes what surrounds it.

The works in this exhibition inhabit precisely this in-between space. They do not ask what has disappeared - they make the question itself visible, as if absence were not a deviation from reality, but one of its most fundamental forms.
