Where love falls ... The young adult Wednesday Addams falls in love with Lucas Beineke. The problem: the Addams family is, shall we say, a little different from many a model family. Father Gomez promises Wednesday not to tell her mother. But Gomez can't lie to his beloved Morticia, and so the secret is revealed and the Beineke family are invited to the gloomy Addams house. Now the world of the Addams, with its penchant for the outlandish and morbid, collides with the bourgeois world of the Beinekes. A perfectly normal evening ...

The famous cartoon drawings by Charles Addams featuring the characters of the Addams Family caricatured the conservative American family from the 1930s onwards. They were later taken up and adapted for several series, film adaptations and, in 2009, for the musical by Andrew Lippa. Most recently, the Netflix series "Wednesday" with actress Jenna Ortega's bizarre dance caused a sensation. As our MuKo audience loves both humorous and horror musicals such as "Sweeney Todd" or "Jekyll & Hyde", it's high time we invited the Addams family with their wonderful characters and songs to Leipzig!
