The Cologne duo the bottomline, featuring singer and pianist Franzis Lating and drummer Johannes Elia Nuß, are back this year with their long-awaited second studio album NOT THE SURFACE, which will be released on 23.10.26 on the Munich label enja & yellowbird records.

The two jack-of-all-trades once again prove that their music has its finger on the pulse of the times. The name of the album says it all and the bottomline present a new variation of their cinematic-melancholic sound with this longplayer.

In recent years, the two have already successfully toured across Germany with their debut album, delighting audiences and the trade press alike.
