The Cologne duo the bottomline, featuring singer and pianist Franzis Lating and drummer Johannes Elia Nuß, will be celebrating the release of their long-awaited second studio album on 22.10.26 at Club Subway. NOT THE SURFACE will be released one day later (on 23.10.26) on the Munich label enja & yellowbird records.

The two jack-of-all-trades prove once again that their music has its finger on the pulse of the times. The name of the album says it all and the bottomline present a new variety of their cinematic-melancholic sound with this longplayer.

In recent years, the two have already successfully toured across Germany with their debut album, delighting audiences and the trade press alike.

Now the bottomline are back with NOT THE SURFACE and offer an extraordinarily intense musical experience, convincing with their usual playful sophistication, musical versatility, sophisticated compositions and lyricism with depth.
