THE COMMUNITY
by Produktion Juliette Villemin GbR (Stuttgart/BW) in cooperation with Carla Jordão (Cologne/ NRW) and TARTproduktion (Stuttgart/BW)

The dance performance The Community, choreographed by Carla Jordão, is based on a concept by Stuttgart choreographer Juliette Villemin, who died in 2023. Both share an interest in people as social and political beings and develop their dance vocabulary from the observation and exploration of everyday gestures.

Be part of us! With the invitation to become part of the community, the dance performance takes up the social longing to experience community in a particularized society. Through playful dance, the performers provide insights into the social and psychological dynamics of togetherness, of being apart and belonging, emotionally and always absurdly. And invite the audience to become part of the community for the experience of moving together, even if only for a fluid moment.
